Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi masalah kurang optimalnya pemanfaatan alat praktikum
dalam mata pelajaran PPKM di kelas XI di SMK Husein Sastranegara Bandung. Penelitian ini
penting untuk menilai sejauh mana sekolah dapat mempersiapkan alat praktikum yang dibutuhkan
untuk memenuhi kompetensi peserta didik sesuai dengan tujuan pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian
ini adalah untuk mengumpulkan informasi tentang jumlah dan jenis alat praktikum, efisiensi
penggunaan alat dalam mata pelajaran PPKM kelas XI, serta langkah-langkah yang diambil untuk
mengoptimalkan alat praktikum guna mencapai tuntutan kompetensi dalam mata pelajaran
tersebut. Hal ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan alat praktikum. Penelitian ini
menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan menggunakan wawancara, dokumentasi, dan observasi
sebagai instrumen penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya 13 jenis pekerjaan yang harus
diselesaikan oleh peserta didik dalam mata pelajaran PPKM kelas XI. Terdapat 10 unit alat
praktikum utama yang tersedia dengan jumlah yang berbeda-beda. Efisiensi penggunaan alat
praktikum utama dalam 20 regu kerja adalah 166%, yang menandakan penggunaan alat tidak
efisien karena tidak digunakan secara maksimal. Namun, setelah dilakukan optimalisasi dengan
mengubah regu kerja menjadi student place sebanyak 8 STP, nilai efisiensi meningkat menjadi
78,02%, sehingga penggunaan alat praktikum menjadi lebih efisien.

This research aims to address the issue of the suboptimal utilization of workshop equipment in the
PPKM subject for 11th-grade students at SMK Husein Sastranegara Bandung. This study is
essential to assess the extent to which the school can prepare the necessary workshop equipment
to meet the competency requirements of students in line with the learning objectives. The
objectives of this research are to gather information regarding the quantity and types of workshop
equipment, the efficiency of equipment utilization in the PPKM subject for 11th-grade students,
and the steps taken to optimize the use of workshop equipment to meet competency requirements in
the subject. The aim is to enhance the efficiency of workshop equipment usage. This research
employs a descriptive method, utilizing interviews, documentation, and observation as research
instruments. The findings of the study reveal the existence of 13 types of tasks that students must
complete in the PPKM subject for 11th-grade students. There are 10 primary workshop equipment
units available with varying quantities. The efficiency of using these primary workshop equipment
units within 20 work teams is 166%, indicating suboptimal equipment utilization due to
underutilization. However, after optimization by converting work teams into student places, with a
total of 8 STP, the efficiency rating increased to 78.02 %, thereby enhancing the efficiency of
workshop equipment utilization
