Abstract

Perpustakaan adalah sumber informasi dan pendidikan bagi pemustaka maka untuk
memenuhi kebutuhan pemustaka perpustakaan perlu mementingkan pelayanan yang baik
dalam kemudahan penelusuran informasi dengan mudah, cepat, dan tepat. Mudahnya
melakukan penelusuran perlu sebuah proses pengolahan bahan pustaka yang baik. Tujuan
penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengolahan bahan pustaka terhadap
kemudahan pelusuran informasi bagi pemustaka di perpustakaan sekolah SMA Negeri di
Kabuapaten Bandung Barat. Sebab masih ada beberapa perpustakaan sekolah menengah
atas yang masih mengalami hambatan dalam proses pengolahan bahan pustaka,Metode
penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif deskriptif dengan
menggunakan kuesioner sebagai teknik dalam pengumpulkan data. Teknik pengambilan
sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan sampel jenuh dengan jumlah 21 orang responden
pusakawan sekolah di SMA Negeri Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Hasil ini menunjukan
proses pengolahan bahan pustaka berpengaruh terhadap kemudahan penelusuran informasi,
aspek dalam tahapan pengolahan koleksi (1) inventarisasi berpengaruh sebesar 50,4%
terhadap kemudahan penelusuran informasi, (2) klasifikasi berpengaruh sebesar 53,4%
terhadap kemudahan penelusuran informasi, (3) katalogisasi berpengaruh sebesar 92,4%
terhadap kemudahan penelusuran informasi, (4) penyelesaian fisik koleksi berpengaruh
sebesar 76,3% terhadap kemudahan penelusuran informasi, dan (5) penyusunan koleksi
berpengaruh sebesar 66,9% terhadap kemudahan penelusuran informasi.
Libraries are a source of information and education for users, so to meet the needs of library
users, they need to prioritize good service in easily, quickly and accurately searching for
information. To make searching easy requires a good library material processing process.
The aim of this research is to determine the effect of processing library materials on the
ease of searching for information for users in State High School libraries in West Bandung
Regency. Because there are still several high school libraries that still experience obstacles
in the process of processing library materials, the research method used in this research is
quantitative descriptive using questionnaires as a technique for collecting data. The
sampling technique in this research used a saturated sample with a total of 21 school
heritage respondents at SMA Negeri West Bandung Regency. These results show that the
process of processing library materials influences the ease of searching for information,
aspects in the collection processing stages (1) inventory has a 50.4% influence on the ease
of searching for information, (2) classification has a 53.4% influence on the ease of
searching for information, (3 ) cataloging has a 92.4% effect on the ease of searching for
information, (4) physical completion of a collection has a 76.3% effect on the ease of
searching for information, and (5) organizing collections has a 66.9% effect on ease of
searching for information.
