Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana media nasional menggambarkan kebijakan yang dibentuk oleh Pemerintah Provinsi Jawa Barat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi kebijakan, tone berita, serta tindak lanjut yang mendominasi selama satu kuartal pertama 2023 seperti yang digambarkan media nasional. Untuk mengidentifikasi dan menguatkan tema-tema yang relevan dalam pemberitaan media mengenai kebijakan Pemerintah Provinsi Jawa Barat, penulis menggunakan pendekatan metode campuran (mixed-method) dengan memadukan analisis isi serta kualitatif wawancara semi-terstruktur. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat E-Clip. Temuan studi ini menunjukkan bahwa tema terkait kebijakan infrastruktur mendominasi pada kuartal pertama tahun 2023. Secara umum, pemberitaan media sebagian besar bersifat netral. Selain itu, penggunaan E-clip sebagai inisiatif pemerintah provinsi untuk memantau media juga berperan penting dalam memfasilitasi respons cepat dan tindakan yang tepat dalam menanggapi isu-isu yang disorot media. Kata Kunci: Analisis Konten, E-Clip, Media, Tone, Pemberitaan, Kebijakan Abstract This study investigates how the national media depict the policies implemented by the provincial government of West Java. This study seeks to identify the policies, news tones, and subsequent actions that dominated the discourse during the first quarter of 2023 as depicted in the national media. To identify and corroborate the prevalent themes in media coverage regarding the policies of the West Java Provincial Government, the authors employed a mixed-method approach by combining content analysis a long with qualitative semi-structured interviews. The data was collected using the E-Clip tool. The findings of this study indicate that themes related to infrastructure policies dominated the first quarter of 2023. Generally, the tone of the media news coverage were predominantly neutral. In addition, the use of E-clip as a provincial government initiative for media monitoring was significant in facilitating prompt responses and appropriate actions in response to media-highlighted issues.
