Abstract

Guru merupakan komponen terpenting dalam dunia pendidikan. Pembelajaran tanpa adanya sosok guru tidak akan berjalan dengan baik. Oleh karena itu agar seorang guru dapat menjalankan tugasnya dengan baik maka guru dituntut untuk menguasai kompetensi keguruan. Namun disinyalir guru-guru menghiraukan aspek-aspek tersebut. Guru hanya melakukan pengajaran tanpa menguasai kemampuan pedagogik, guru hanya menuntut profesionalisme gaji tanpa meningkatkan profesionalisme dalam mengajar, guru hanya sebatas pengajar di kelas tanpa menyadari bahwa dirinya merupakan panutan bagi para muridnya di luar kelas baik itu dari aspek penampilan, tingkah laku, sikap dan berbicara. Melihat realita tersebut, seharusnya guru memahami konsep guru ideal, salah satunya seperti yang diajarkan oleh Ki Hajar Dewantara. Hal ini dimaksudkan agar seorang guru mampu bersikap profesional dalam mengajar disertai pemahaman mengenai ilmu kependidikan dengan landasan pribadi yang mulia. Di dalam penelitian ini pemikiran Ki Hajar Dewantara akan ditinjau dari segi pandangan pendidikan Islam, dengan maksud untuk mengetahui keselarasan pemikiran Ki Hajar Dewantara. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan ditunjang oleh studi literatur. Selain dari itu teknik pengumpulan data yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kepustakaan (library research). Hasil temuan menunjukan bahwa, konsep guru yang dijelaskan oleh Ki Hajar Dewantara meliputi tugas guru sebagai among atau pembimbing, penasehat, pendidik, pengajar, pemberi motivasi, penuntun dan pemimpin, dan menjelaskan kompetensi keguruan yang harus dikuasai yaitu pedagogik, profesional, sosial dan kepribadian, dan terakhir pandangan Ki Hajar Dewantara mengenai gaji guru. Dari hasil temuan tersebut kemudian dilakukan analisis serta pembahasan menggunakan teori pendidikan Islam dan hasilnya konsep guru dalam pandangan Ki Hajar Dewantara dan Pendidikan Islam berjalan selaras karena memiliki banyak kesamaan. Meskipun Ki Hajar Dewantara adalah seorang tokoh nasionalis, namun sebagai seorang muslim, pemikiran Ki Hajar Dewantara tidak terlepas dari nilai-nilai Islam dan dari hasil pembahasan mengenai pemikiran Ki Hajar Dewantara tentang guru dapat dikatakan termasuk ke dalam pemikiran pendidikan Islam. Kata Kunci: Tugas Guru, Guru, Kompetensi Guru, Pendidikan Islam Teacher is the most important component in the world of education. Teaching and learning without the figure of a teacher will not run well. Hence, in order for a teacher to do his or her duties well, he or she is demanded to master teacher competences. However, there is an indication that teachers neglect these aspects. They only conduct teaching without mastering the pedagogic abilities; they demand professionalism of salary without improving their professionalism in teaching, they merely teach in the classroom without being aware that they are the role models for students outside the classroom, both in the aspects of appearance, conduct, attitude, and speech. Seeing this reality, teachers should understand the concept of an ideal teacher, one of them is as taught by Ki HajarDewantara. Understanding this concept is meant for a teacher to be able to behave professionally in teaching, accompanied by understanding the pedagogy with noble personal principles. In this research, the thoughts of Ki HajarDewantara will be reviewed from the perspective of Islamic Education, with the aim of finding the suitability of his thoughts. The method employed is descriptive using qualitative approach, supported by literary study. In addition, the technique of data collection used in this research is library research. The findings demonstrate that the concept of teachers explained by Ki HajarDewantara include teachers’ duties as mentor or tutor, advisor, educator, teacher, motivator, guide and leader; the concepts explain that the competences teachers should master involve pedagogic, professional, social, and personal competences; and finally, there is Ki HajarDewantara’s view on teacher’s salary. From the findings, an analysis and discussion are done using the theory of Islamic Education, and the outcomes show that Ki HajarDewantara’s perspectives and Islamic Education run in harmony because of many similarities. Even though Ki HajarDewantara is a nationalist, but as a Muslim his thoughts are inseparable from the Islamic values and from the result discussion of Ki HajarDewantara’s thoughts on teachers, it can be said that his thoughts can be categorized as the thoughts of Islamic Education.
