Abstract

Perkembangan zaman membawa perkembangan pada berbagai aspek kehidupan, diantaranya aspek teknologi, keilmuan, dan pendidikan. Sumber pendidikan dan pembelajaran sangat beragam sumbernya, salah satunya pendidikan dapat dilaksanakan di museum. Museum Geologi Bandung menjadi salah satu destinasi wisata edukasi terbaik di Bandung, hal ini dinyatakan pada sebuah website Tripadvisor. Hal lain yang menjadi latar belakang penelitian ini, karena Museum Geologi Bandung adalah museum khusus yang menyajikan satu fokus keilmuan, yakni ilmu geologi. Museum Geologi juga menjadi museum dengan koleksi geologi yang lengkap se-Asia. Tetapi, pada nyatanya di Musuem Geologi masih terdapat display yang tidak berfungsi untuk menampilkan informasi koleksi di Museum Geologi tersebut. Oleh karena itu, peneliti menawarkan untuk menganalisi kebutuhan pengembangan konten, merancang, hingga mengujikan aplikasi yang ditawarkan oleh peneliti. Tujuan umum dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan aplikasi edukasi koleksi Museum Geologi yang ada di Museum Geologi Bandung. Metode yang digunakan adalah Design Based Research (DBR). Jumlah populasi sebanyak 2500 perharinya, dan sampel terdiri dari 135 pengunjung. Penentuan jumlah sampel ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan kategori sampel adalah orang yang pernah mengunjungi Museum Geologi. Setelah dilakukan penelitian antara analisis kebutuhan dan juga pengujian pengembangan aplikasi SIMUGI (Koleksi Musuem Geologi), hasil menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan Aplikasi SIMUGI memberikan kontribusi positif dan dapat menjadi alat bantu pemahaman pengunjung dalam mengunjungi Museum Geologi Bandung. The times have brought developments in various aspects of life, including technological, scientific, and educational aspects. The sources of education and learning are very diverse, one of which education can be carried out in museums. Bandung Geological Museum is one of the best educational tourism destinations in Bandung, this is stated on the Tripadvisor website. Another thing that becomes the background of this research, is because Bandung Geological Museum is a special museum that presents one scientific focus, namely geological science. It is also the museum with the most complete geological collection in Asia. However, there are still displays that do not function to display collection information at the Geological Museum. Therefore, researchers offer to analyze content development needs, design, and test the applications offered by researchers. The general objective of this research is to develop an educational application for the Museum of Geology collection at the Bandung Geological Museum. The method used is Design-Based Research (DBR). The population was 2500, and the sample consisted of 135 visitors. Determination of the number of samples using purposive sampling technique with the sample category is people who have visited the Museum of Geology. After conducting research between needs analysis and also testing the development of the SIMUGI (Geological Museum Collection) application, the results show that the development of the SIMUGI Application makes a positive contribution and can be a tool for understanding visitors visiting the Bandung Geological Museum.
