Abstract

Pertumbuhan industri fashion di Indonesia terus meningkat, cepatnya perubahan trend fashion menjadi penyebab terbesarnya. Hal tersebut menyebabkan mayoritas perempuan mengeluhkan masalah mengenai konsumtifitas terhadap fashion yang tidak terkendali dan membutuhkan solusi untuk tetap bisa modis tanpa mengeluarkan uang. Penyebab lainnya adalah pakaian-pakaian yang tidak terpakai, akhirnya menjadi sampah. Banyaknya sampah dari industri fashion mengakibatkan banyak permasalahan lingkungan, seperti menghasilkan 1,2 miliar ton emisi gas rumah kaca, mencemari dan menurunkan kualitas air, dan melepaskan 700. 000 serat mikro plastik yang berujung ke lautan. Limbah fashion juga mendapatkan sorotan dari berbagai pihak termasuk pemerintah, CSO (Civil Society Organization), sektor swasta, akademisi, dan pihak lain yang ikut merumuskan 17 SDGs. Permasalahan ini juga sesuai dengan target ke empat dan lima dari 12th SDGs yaitu mencapai pengelolaan bahan kimia dan semua jenis limbah yang ramah lingkungan sesuai dengan kerangka kerja internasional yang disepakati serta secara signifikan mengurangi pencemaran bahan kimia tersebut ke udara, air, dan tanah untuk meminimalkan dampak buruk terhadap kesehatan manusia dan lingkungan pada target ke empat. Sementara pada target ke lima adalah secara substansial mengurangi produksi limbah melalui pencegahan, pengurangan, daur ulang, dan penggunaan kembali. Berdasarkan permasalahan di atas, penulis memiliki sebuah inovasi yang diberi judul “Sicloo: Inovasi Platform Limbah Fashion Berbasis Circular Economy Karya Mandiri Bangsa guna Mendukung 12th SDGs Responsible Consumption and Production”. The growth of the fashion industry in Indonesia continues to increase, the rapid changes in fashion trends are the biggest cause. This causes the majority of women to complain about the problem of uncontrolled consumptive fashion and need a solution to be fashionable without spending money. Another cause is unused clothes, which eventually become waste. The amount of waste from the fashion industry causes many environmental problems, such as producing 1. 2 billion tons of greenhouse gas emissions, polluting and reducing water quality, and releasing 700,000 microplastic fibers which end up in the oceans. Fashion waste has also received scrutiny from various parties including the government, CSOs (Civil Society Organizations), the private sector, academics, and other parties involved in formulating the 17 SDGs. This issue is also in accordance with the 4th and 5th targets of the 12th SDGs, namely achieving environmentally friendly management of chemicals and all types of waste in accordance with agreed international frameworks and significantly reducing the pollution of these chemicals into the air, water and soil to minimize bad impacts for human and environment health in the 4th target. Meanwhile in the 5th target is to substantially reduce waste production through prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse. Based on the problems above, the author has an innovation entitled "Sicloo: Circular Economy-Based Fashion Waste Platform Innovation Nation's independent work to Support the 12th SDGs Responsible, Consumption, and Production".
