Abstract
Hasil studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan oleh peneliti pada tiga remaja di Kota Bandung menunjukkan adanya perilaku agresif pada pemain game online. Perilaku yang muncul baik verbal maupun non verbal. Faktor psikologis yang mempengaruhi perilaku agresif adalah self concept dan locus of control. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah adanya pengaruh self concept dan locus of control terhadap agresivitas remaja pemain game online di Kota Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan jumlah partisipan 243 remaja pemain game online di Kota Bandung. Instrumen pada penelitian ini menggunakan self-concepy clarity untuk mengukur self concept, the internal-external untuk mengukur locus of control, dan aggression questionnaire untuk mengukur agresivitas. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan oleh penelitian ini adalah korelasi regresi sederhana dan regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self concept dan locus of control secara simultan memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap agresivitas pada remaja pemain game online di Kota Bandung sebesar 18% dengan arah pengaruh positif. The results of a preliminary study conducted by researchers on three teenagers in Bandung City showed aggressive behavior in online game players. Behavior that appears both verbal and non-verbal. Psychological factors that influence aggressive behavior are self concept and locus of control. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of self concept and locus of control on the aggressiveness of adolescent online game players in Bandung City. The research method used is a quantitative method with a total of 243 participants of teenage online game players in Bandung City. The instruments in this study used self-concepy clarity to measure self concept, the internal-external to measure locus of control, and aggression questionnaire to measure aggressiveness. The data analysis technique used by this research is simple regression correlation and multiple regression. The results showed that self concept and locus of control simultaneously had a significant influence on aggressiveness in adolescent online game players in Bandung City by 18% with a positive direction of influence.
