Abstract

Pemasalahan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kinerja guru yang cenderung rendah akibat dari adanya berbagai faktor, baik faktor kemampuan atau kompetensi, faktor motivasi kerja, faktor psikologis, hingga faktor lingkungan tempat kerja. Faktor-faktor tersebut diidentifikasi menjadi penyebab rendahnya kinerja guru, terutama faktor kompetensi dan faktor motivasi kerja. Dalam penelitian ini yang menjadi objek penelitian yaitu guru mata pelajaran ekonomi di SMA Negeri se-Kota Bandung. Sampel sebanyak 97 guru ekonomi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survey eksplanatory. Dengan menggunakan angket sebagai alat pengumpul data dan teknik menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Dalam analisis data menggunakan bantuan program SPSS 21 for Windows. Pada tingkat kompetensi yang berada pada kategori tinggi diharapkan guru mampu menjaga tingkat kompetensi tersebut bahkan lebih baiknya ditingkatkan pada penguasaan yang wajib dimiliki oleh seorang guru. Sedangkan untuk hasil kinerja guru secara keseluruhan berada pada kategori tinggi, diperlukan usaha yang lebih giat dan berupaya menghilangkan rasa malas untuk mencapai hasil kerja yang optimal. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data diperoleh temuan penelitian bahwa kompetensi dan motivasi kerja berada pada kategori tinggi, begitupula dengan kinerja guru yang berada pada kategori tinggi. Kompetensi berpengaruh positif terhadap motivasi kerja. Motivasi kerja berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja guru mata pelajaran ekonomi. Kompetensi dan motivasi kerja secara simultan berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja guru mata pelajaran ekonomi. Kata Kunci : kompetensi, motivasi kerja, kinerja guru The problem in this research is that the teacher's performance tends to be low due to various factors, either factor capability or competence, work motivation factors, psychological factors, or else workplace environment factors. These factors were identified to be the cause of the poor performance of teachers, particularly competency and work motivation factor. In this case, the research object is the economics teachers of Senior Highschool in Bandung. 97 economics teachers was using for the sample. The method used in this research is by explanatory survey. By using a questionnaire as a data collection tool and techniques using multiple linear regression. Data analysis using SPSS 21 for Windows. Based on the research and data analysis we are findings that the competence and motivation of work is at the high category, nor the performance of teachers who are in the high category. The Competence have positive influence on work motivation. Work motivation have positive effect to the economic teachers performance. Simultaneously Competence and work motivation have positive effect to the economic teachers performance. At high level category of competence we have expected the teachers is able to maintain the level of competence or even can be improved on better teaching that must be owned by a teacher. For the overall results of teacher performance at the high category, there are required more effort and more work to eliminate the laziness to achieve optimal results. Based on the research and analysis of the data findings that the competence and motivation to work at the high category, nor the performance of teachers who are in the high category. Competence positive influence on work motivation. Work motivation positive effect on the economic teachers performance.
