Abstract
Has done fabrication of materials based on light-emitting gel Eletrogenerated chemiluminescence system (ECL) using an ionic liquid electrolyte-based crystal cis-oleil-imidazolinium iodide by using emitters of plant extracts (turmeric, mangosteen peel, and carrots). ECL material made considerable potential use as light-emitting materials for Light Emitting Diodes (LED) and Liquid Crystal Displays (LCDs). Preliminary studies carried out using a dye dilution extract ionic material is made using salt [MOBzt] CH3COO as a solvent, cis-oleil-imidazolinium iodide as the electrolyte and the semiconductor, dye plant extracts as an emitter, and TiO2 as gelation and semiconductors. Fabrication of light-emitting ECL prepared by the method of using a glass sandwich with indium tin oxide (ITO) as electrodes and gel material as a light-emitting ECL. The results showed that [MOBzt] CH3COO have the ability to dissolve 9.5% turmeric extract, mangosteen peel extract of 1.6% and 1.2% carrot extract. The results of ionic conductivity measurements show that the solution [MOBzt] CH3COO, cis-oleil-imidazolinium iodide and dye turmeric extract, mangosteen peel and carrots each able to conduct electricity with a value of 1.268 x 10 -6 S.cm-1, 1.284 x 10 -6 S.cm-1 and 1.307 x 10 -6 S.cm-1. Based on the test performance of the ECL cell, transmitting the color of the ECL is strongly influenced by the magnitude of the solubility of dye in the extract [MOBzt] CH3COO. ECL material yellow color of turmeric extract with emitters produce purple color that is transmitting the complementary color. The solubility of mangosteen extract and extract a small carrot in [MOBzt] CH3COO causes orange color of the cis-oleil-imidazolinium iodide becomes more dominant resulting in blue emission. Characteristics mesofase owned cis-oleil- Imidazolinium Iodide causing effects transmitting more than one color corresponding to the energy consumed. In the ECL material with turmeric extract emitters produce light transmitting orange and purple, while in the ECL with emitter mangosteen peel extract and carrot produces light green and light blue.
