Abstract
ABSTRAK Transformasi budaya tradisional dilakukan melalui proses pendidikan formal, nonformal dan informal. Jampang Kulon merupakan salah satu daerah yang melakukan transformasi budaya tradisional dengan baik. Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang transformasi budaya tradisional sebagai urgensi dalam pelestarian nilai-nilai kearifan lokal. Fokus kajian meliputi persepsi masyarakat dalam memaknai nilai-nilai yang terkandung pada budaya tradisional, proses pembelajaran pada transformasi budaya tradisional, serta dampak dari pelestarian nilai-nilai budaya tradisional yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat Jampang Kulon. Pendekatan kualitatif etnografis dengan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara, observasi, serta studi dokumentasi merupakan pendekatan yang dipilih dalam penelitian ini. Partisipan berjumlah lima orang yang terdiri dari pelaku seni, penggiat seni, dan masyarakat setempat. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa; 1) masyarakat Jampang Kulon memiliki kesadaran yang tinggi dalam melestarikan budaya tradisional . Proses pelestarian tersebut dilakukan baik dalam lingkup keluarga, lingkungan sosial, sekolah, maupun secara formal oleh pemerintah; 2) proses pembelajaran dalam transformasi budaya tradisional terjadi secara non formal dan informal melalui pembiasaan perilaku, pewarisan, pendidikan budaya, kelompok seni dan budaya, workshop, pelatihan, festival budaya, dan dokumentasi budaya, melalui model pembelajaran cerita, demonstrasi, partisipatif, diskusi, dan pengalaman langsung; 3) transformasi budaya tradisional berdampak positif bagi masyarakat Jampang Kulon terutama dalam bidang sosial, ekonomi, pendidikan. Namun, hal tersebut dipengaruhi oleh faktor globalisasi, perkembangan teknologi, dan perubahan persepsi masyarakat tentang budaya tradisional. ABSTRACT Traditional cultural transformation is carried out through formal, non-formal and informal education processes. Jampang Kulon is one of the areas that carry out traditional cultural transformation well. This research examines the transformation of traditional culture as an urgency in preserving local wisdom values. The focus of the study includes community perceptions in interpreting the values contained in traditional culture, the learning process in traditional cultural transformation, and the impact of preserving traditional cultural values carried out by the people of Jampang Kulon. An ethnographic qualitative approach with data collection techniques of interview, observation, and documentation study is the approach chosen in this research. The participants totaled five people consisting of art actors, art activists, and the local community. The results found that; 1) the people of Jampang Kulon have a high awareness in preserving traditional culture. The preservation process is carried out both within the scope of the family, social environment, school, and formally by the government; 2) the learning process in the transformation of traditional culture occurs non-formally and informally through behavioral habituation, inheritance, cultural education, arts and cultural groups, workshops, training, cultural festivals, and cultural documentation, through story learning models, demonstrations, participatory, discussions, and direct experience; 3) Traditional cultural transformation has a positive impact on the people of Jampang Kulon, especially in the social, economic, and educational fields. However, it is influenced by globalization factors, technological developments, and changes in people's perceptions of traditional culture.
