Abstract

Tari Ronggeng Slerek merupakan tarian yang berasal dari Kabupaten Indramayu. Ronggeng Slerek dilakukan pada upacara adat ngunjung buyut wanakerti di desa Muntur yang berlangsung setahun sekali pada bulan September, Oktober atau November. Dengan menggunakan payung teori performance studies, tulisan ini fokus mengkaji struktur penyajian, fungsi, serta simbol dan makna tari Ronggeng Slerek dalam upacara adat Ngunjung Buyut Wanakerti. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif analisis dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diketahui bahwa upacara adat Ngunjung Buyut Wanakerti berlangsung selama dua hari, dan terdapat rangkaian persiapan, pelaksanaan dan penutupan. Struktur tari Ronggeng Slerek terdiri dari gerak tari yaitu lontang, selut, nylerek, dan buka tutup tangan. Tata rias wajah berwarna hitam dan putih seperti topeng dengan pakaian bermacam-macam perpaduan warna yang harmonis. Musik yang digunakan berjenis perkusi dan tempat pertunjukannya di arena tradisional lingkungan desa (environtment). Simbol-simbol dalam tari Ronggeng Slerek merupakan perwakilan dari semua yang ada di dunia yang berperan sebagai sarana untuk membersihkan desa atau penolak bala masyarakat desa Muntur dan sebagai penunjuk arah jalannya arak-arakan dalam prosesi upacara adat Ngunjung Buyut Wanakerti. ; Ronggeng Slerek dance is a dance originating from Indramayu Regency. Ronggeng Slerek is performed at the traditional ceremony of visiting the great-grandfather of Wanakerti in Muntur village which takes place once a year in September, October or November. Using the umbrella of performance studies theory, this paper focuses on examining the presentation structure, function, and symbols and meanings of the Ronggeng Slerek dance in the Ngunjung Buyut Wanakerti traditional ceremony. The method used is descriptive analysis method with a qualitative approach. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the Ngunjung Buyut Wanakerti traditional ceremony lasts for two days, and there are a series of preparations, implementations and closings. The structure of the Ronggeng Slerek dance consists of dance movements, namely lontang, selut, nylerek, and opening and closing hands. Black and white make-up is like a mask with various harmonious color combinations. The music used is percussion type and the venue is in a traditional village environment. The symbols in the Ronggeng Slerek dance are representatives of all that exists in the world which act as a means to clean the village or to repel the reinforcements of the Muntur village community and as a guide to the direction of the procession in the Ngunjung Buyut Wanakerti traditional ceremony procession.
