Abstract

Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh kecenderungan rendahnya penyesuaian diri siswa di Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian bertujuan menguji efektivitas teknik permainan kelompok ntuk mengembangkan penyesuaian diri siswa. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan metode penelitian pra eksperimen pretest-postest one group design.. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa Kelas IV SD Negeri Harapan 1-2 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014 yang ditentukan dengan random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu instrumen penyesuaian diri siswa Sekolah Dasar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) mayoritas siswa Kelas IV SD Negeri Harapan 1-2 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014 berada pada kategori sedang, artinya perkembangan penyesuaian diri siswa belum optimal; 2) Pelaksanaan teknik permainan kelompok menunjukkan adanya peningkatan skor penyesuaian diri siswa secara signifikan pada setiap aspek; 3) Program permaian kelompok efektif untuk mengembangkan penyesuaian diri siswa. Rekomendasi dari hasil penelitian adalah guru mata pelajaran/wali kelas dapat mengimplementasikan program permainan kelompok dalam kegiatan pembelajaran untuk menciptakan lingkungan kelas yang efektif. Kata Kunci: Permainan kelompok, Penyesuaian Diri The background of this research is inclined of lowness student self-adjustment in primary school. Purpose of this research is to examine the effectiveness group playing technique to develop student self-adjustment. Phenomenological that used is quantitative phenomenological, with pre-experiment research method pretest-postest one group design. Sixth grade student in Harapan 1-2 primary school Bandung learned years 2013/2014 is used for subject that taken by random sampling. Instrument that used is primary school student self-adjustment. Result of this research shows: 1) the majority of students in class VI at Harapan 1-2 primary school Bandung learned years 2013/2014 is in the average category, it means that the development of student self-adjustment had not optimum; 2) Implementation of group playing technique show that score of student self-adjustment increase significantly in each aspects; 3) Group playing program is effective to develop student self-adjustment. Recommendation of this research is teachers or homeroom teacher can apply this group playing program in study activity to create effective class surroundings.
