Abstract

Manusia sebagai makhluk hidup tidak bisa luput dari informasi dan pasti memiliki kebutuhan informasi yang berbeda untuk setiap individunya. Kebutuhan informasi ini menimbulkan dilakukannya upaya-upaya untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut melalui berinteraksi dengan sistem informasi. Di era digital seperti sekarang, sistem informasi semakin beragam sumbernya. Salah satunya adalah akun autobase pada platform Twitter. Akun autobase sudah lama menjamur dalam kehidupan bermedia sosial di Twitter hingga setiap muncul sebuah komunitas yang cukup besar pasti diiringi dengann lahirnya sebuah akun autobase bertema komunitas tersebut. Salah satu komunitas yang menjadi besar semenjak pandemi adalah komunitas komik digital. Berdasarkan fenomena tersebut, penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui perilaku penemuan informasi yang dilakukan oleh komunitas komik digital menggunakan akun @WEBCOMICFESS ini dilakukan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dengan skoring skala Likert kemudian dianalisis dengan metode deskriptif. Partisipan dari penelitian ini adalah komunitas komik digital yang sudah mengikuti dan diikuti kembali oleh akun @WEBCOMICFESS. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah perilaku pencarian informasi komunitas komik digital di Twitter ternilai baik dengan skor 74%, walaupun kebanyakan partisipan masih belum bisa memanfaatkan akun autobase sebagai sumber informasi secara maksimal. Terdapat beberapa hambatan dalam mencari informasi menggunakan akun autobase, akan tetapi hambatan tersebut bisa diatasi oleh komunias komik digital sebagai pencari informasi. Human beings tend to need information in their lives and could never live without information. Information needs cause people to make efforts to interact with information systems and utilize it to fulfill their needs. There are various information sources in this digital era. One of them is common on Twitter, called an autobase account. This account has been widely used by Indonesian Twitter users to the point that every time a huge community appears, it will be followed by an emergence of an autobase account with a related theme. There is one community that has become big on Twitter since pandemic, named webcomic community or in short webcomictwt. Based on this phenomenon, this research which aimed at determining the information seeking behavior by webcomic community on Twitter using @WEBCOMICFESS was conducted. The method used is descriptive quantitative while the data collection techniques used is questionnaires using Likert scale scoring and then analyzed with descriptive methods. The participants of this study consists of webcomic community on Twitter who has been following and followed back by @WEBCOMICFESS. The result of this study indicates that information seeking behavior by webcomic community on Twitter is quite good which scored 74%. Nevertheless, most participants still could not utilize the autobase account as an information source optimally. There are several obstacles in using autobase account as information retrieval system, however, the participants as a user can overcome them.
