Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh job insecurity terhadap komitmen organisasi karyawan hotel departemen housekeeping di Indonesia. Objek penelitian yang diambil yaitu karyawan hotel departemen housekeeping karena pergantian status karyawan banyak terjadi pada departemen housekeeping, hal tersebut disebabkan banyak karyawan yang dibutuhkan namun tidak dikontrak atau dalam status casual maupun daily worker. Karena hal ini, sebagian besar karyawan memutuskan untuk mengundurkan diri atau pindah kerja karena takut jika diberhentikan terlebih dahulu oleh perusahaan, hal tersebut yang melatarbelakangi penulis untuk melakukan penelitian ini. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode sampling Tabachnick & Fidell dengan jumlah 118 responden. Kriteria yang digunakan untuk responden adalah orang yang bekerja di hotel berbintang seluruh Indonesia khususnya departemen housekeeping. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis regresi linear sederhana. Data yang dibutuhkan oleh penulis didapatkan melalui penyebaran kuesioner yang kemudian diolah menggunakan software SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya pengaruh dari job insecurity terhadap komitmen organisasi pada karyawan hotel departemen housekeeping, dengan nilai R square dari job insecurity berjumlah 29.5% sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel bebas atau job insecurity secara simultan memiliki pengaruh yaitu sebesar 29.5% terhadap komitmen organisasi sedangkan sisanya 70.5% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain di luar dari penelitian ini. This study aims to analyze the effect of job insecurity on the organizational commitment of hotel employees in the housekeeping department in Indonesia. The research object taken was the hotel employee in the housekeeping department because a lot of employee status changes occurred in the housekeeping department, this was because many employees were needed but were not contracted or in casual or daily worker status. Because of this, most employees decide to resign or change jobs because they are afraid of being fired first by the company, this is the background for the author to conduct this research. In this study using the Tabachnick & Fidell sampling method with a total of 118 respondents. The criteria used for respondents are people who work in the hotel in Indonesia specially housekeeping department. This study uses quantitative methods with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The data needed by the author was obtained through distributing questionnaires which were then processed using SPSS software. The results showed that there was an influence from job insecurity on organizational commitment to hotel employees in the housekeeping department, with an R square value of job insecurity totaling 29.5% so it could be concluded that the independent variable or job insecurity simultaneously had an effect of 29.5% on organizational commitment while the remaining 70.5% influenced by other variables outside of this study.
