Abstract

Hasil belajar mata kuliah fisika dasar pada Mahasiswa Pendidikan Teknik Mesin menunjukkan masih banyaknya mahasiswa kesulitan dalam proses pemecahan masalah pada mata kuliah fisika dasar. Survei yang dilakukan peneliti ditemukan bahwa sebanyak 61% nilai UAS fisika dasar mahasiswa berada dibawah nilai rata-rata keseluruhan dengan perolehan nilai dibawah 65 dari skala nilai 100. Berdasarkan hal tersebut peningkatan kemampuan dasar mahasiswa sangat diperlukan. Kemampuan dasar yang dapat menjadi faktor penentu hasil belajar mahasiswa diantaranya kemampuan berpikir komputasi dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat kemampuan tersebut dan pengaruhnya terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa. Metode ex post facto digunakan sebagai metode penelitian dalam penelitian ini. Pengumpulan data menggunakan jenis instrumen angket dan tes uraian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, diperoleh tingkat kemampuan berpikir komputasi tergolong pada kategori rendah dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata sebesar 43 dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah tergolong pada kategori tinggi dengan nilai rata-rata 58,25 dari skala 100. Kesimpulan uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir komputasi dan pemecahan masalah memiliki pengaruh secara signifikan terhadap hasil belajar masing-masing 39,04% dan 40,05%. Kemampuan berpikir komputasi dan pemecahan masalah secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan sebesar 79% terhadap hasil belajar fisika dasar, sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi faktor lain. The learning outcomes of basic physics courses for Mechanical Engineering Education Students show that there are still many student difficulties in the process of solving problems in basic physics courses. The survey conducted by researchers found that as many as 61% of students' basic physics UAS scores were below the overall average score with scores below 65 on a scale of 100. Based on this, improving the basic abilities of students is very necessary. Basic abilities that can be a determining factor for student learning outcomes include computational thinking skills and problem solving skills. This research was conducted to determine the level of this ability and its effect on student learning outcomes. The research method used in this study is the ex post facto method. Data collection uses questionnaires and description tests. Based on the results of this study, the level of computational thinking skills belongs to the low category with an average score of 43 and problem solving skills belong to the high category with an average value of 58.25 on a scale of 100. The conclusion of the hypothesis test shows that the computational thinking skills and problem-solving skills has a significant effect on learning outcomes, respectively 39.04% and 40.05%. The computational thinking skills and problem-solving skills simultaneously has a significant effect of 79% on learning outcomes of basic physics, while the rest is influenced by other factors.
