Abstract

Lahan pekarangan memiliki fungsi multiguna, salah satunya yaitupemanfaatan tumbuhan pekarangan. dengan melakukan pemanfaatan lahanpekarangan oleh masyarakat desa Girimekar. Oleh sebab itu penelitian inidilakukan kepada 100 responden yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui refleksi tingkat etika lingkungan hidup masyarakat terhadap fungsi lahan pekarangan di DesaGirimekar. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptifkualitatif. Langkah yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini terdiri dari dua tahap: (1) mengetahui pemahaman mengenai prinsip etika lingkungan (2) mengetahuipemanfaatan lahan pekarangan di desa Girimekar. Masyarakat Desa Girimekarmemanfaatkan lahan pekarangan salahsatunya dengan menanam tanaman pekarangan yang secara tidak langsung akan mengurangi dampak dari Globalwarming. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh, tanaman pekarangan dimanfaatkanuntuk kebutuhan ekonomi 64%, konsumsi pribadi 73%, sebagai peneduh halamandan kebutuhan sehari-hari 87%. Sebanyak 84,6% Masyarakat Desa Girimekar sudah memahami apa yang dimaksud dengan etika lingkungan dan prinsipprinsipnya. Kata Kunci : Desa Girimekar, Manfaat tanaman pekarangan, Etika LingkunganHidup Environmental ethics discusses human behavior towards nature and also therelationship between all life in the universe, namely between humans and other living things or with nature as a whole. Behind the relationship between humans and nature will be more effective if it is supported using the principles in question. Therefore this research was conducted on 100 respondents which aims to find out the reflection of the level of community environmental ethics on the function of yards in Girimekar Village. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The steps taken in this study consisted of two stages: (1)knowing the understanding of environmental ethical principles by means of interviews and questionnaires, (2) knowing the use of yard plants in terms of environmental ethical principles. The people of Girimekar Village have used their yard plants and are aware of the importance of planting yard plants to reduce the impact of global warming. The Girimekar Village community has also applied the principles of environmental ethics in the utilization of the function of their yard. For the people of Girimekar Village. Based on the results obtained, yard plants are used for economic needs 64%, personal consumption 73%, as yard shade and 87% for daily needs. As much as 84.6% of the Girimekar Village Community already understand what is meant by environmental ethics and its principles.
