Abstract

Law No. 5 of 1990 defended the Natural Tourism Park (TWA) as a nature conservation area dedicated to tourism and natural recreation for the conservation of natural resources and their ecosystems. Tourism activities that focus on the natural environment are closely linked to damage to resources and ecosystems. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the physical and psychological carrying capacity of the Mount Tangkuban Perahu Nature Park (TWA). The research method uses the Cifuentes (1992) approach to assess physical carrying capacity (PCC, RCC, and ECC) and uses descriptive statistics to assess psychological carrying capacity. Data is collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The sample was taken from 100 tourists. The results showed that the physical carrying capacity of the Tangkuban Perahu Mountain Nature Park (TWA), namely: PCC of 2.624 tourists per day, RCC of 739 tourists per day, and ECC of 599 tourists per day. While psychologically, tourists feel comfortable visiting the Tangkuban Perahu Mountain natural tourism park with a satisfaction level of 70%, which is included in the high category, Thus, these findings indicate that there is a significant gap between the physical and psychological carrying capacity of the Mount Tangkuban Perahu Natural Tourism Park (TWA).
