Abstract

Pertunjukan teater Ubrug grup Cantel pimpinan Sukardi masih eksis sampai saat. Sukardi sebagai seniman Ubrug mengkombinasikan beberapa aspek untuk mengembangkan pertunjukan Ubrugnya. Bentuk penyajian Ubrug juga menggunakan pemanfaatan teknologi, seperti melakukan pertunjukan virtual dan live streaming Facebook, dan penggunaan Youtube channel. Peneliti tertarik untuk meneliti, dengan judul “Transformasi Pertunjukan Teater Ubrug Grup Cantel di Kota Serang Banten”. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini bertempat dikediaman Sukardi di Kampung Prisen, Desa Kiara, Kecamatan Walantaka, Kota Serang, Provinsi Banten. Adapun rumusan masalahnya yaitu Bagaimana Sejarah Teater Ubrug di Banten? Bagaimanakah transformasi cerita/lakon dan pemeranan dalam pertunjukan Ubrug grup Cantel di tahun 2010-2022? Bagaimana transformasi bentuk penyajian pertunjukan Ubrug grup Cantel di tahun 2010- 2022? dan faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi terjadinya transformasi. Permasalahan tersebut akan dikaji menggunakan metode penelitian dengan paradigma kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Teori dalam penelitian inti menggunakan teori Transformasi Budaya dan Teater Tradisional. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertunjukan teater Ubrug grup Cantel dari tahun 2010-2022 mengalami perubahan cerita/lakon, pemeranan, dan bentuk penyajian pertunjukan. Cerita/lakon yang dibawakan yang awalnya membawakan cerita legenda/rakyat menjadi cerita fenomena permasalahan sehari-hari. Pada bagian pemeranan mengalami perubahan adanya proses penguatan karakter yang dilakukan pada saat latihan. Pada Bentuk penyajian pertunjukan yang awalnya berada di tanah lapang, berubah ke panggung pertunjukan yang dipengaruhi oleh perkembangan musik dangdut. Hal ini dipengaruhi oleh perkembangan zaman dan teknologi, permintaan penonton dan perubahan sudut pandang seniman untuk melakukan perubahan. Kata Kunci: Transformasi, Teater Ubrug, Cantel Grup The Ubrug theater performance of the Cantel group led by Sukardi still exists today. Sukardi as an Ubrug artist combines several aspects to develop his Ubrug performances. The form of Ubrug presentation also uses the utilization of technology, such as virtual performances and Facebook live streaming, and the use of Youtube channels. Researchers are interested in researching, with the title "Transformation of the Cantel Group Ubrug Theater Performance in Serang City Banten". The implementation of this research took place at Sukardi's residence in Prisen Village, Kiara Village, Walantaka District, Serang City, Banten Province. The formulation of the problem is How is the History of Ubrug Theater in Banten? How is the transformation of the story / play and cast in the Ubrug performance of the Cantel group in 2010-2022? How is the transformation of the form of presentation of Ubrug performances of Cantel group in 2010-2022? and what factors influence the transformation. These problems will be studied using a research method with a qualitative paradigm with a phenomenological approach. The theory in the core research uses the theory of Cultural Transformation and Traditional Theater. The results showed that the Cantel group's Ubrug theater performances from 2010-2022 experienced changes in the story/play, cast, and form of performance presentation. The stories/plays that were performed from legends/people's stories to stories of everyday problems. In the acting part, there was a change in the character strengthening process carried out during training. In the form of performance presentation, which was originally in an open field, changed to a stage performance influenced by the development of dangdut music. This was influenced by the development of time and technology, audience demand and changes in the artist's point of view to make changes. Keywords: Transformation, Ubrug Theater, Cantel Group
