Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dengan permasalahan mengenai kekurangan keberagaman alat permainan edukatif untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan membaca permulaan anak usia 5-6 tahun. Penelitian ini berujuan untuk mengembangkan alat permainan edukatif untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan membaca permulaan anak sesuai dengan kebutuhan di lapangan. Penelitian ini berdasar pada studi pendahuluan yang telah dilaksanakan oleh peneliti mengenai kurangnya keberagaman dan ketersediaan alat permainan edukatif untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan membaca permulaan anak usia 5-6 tahun. Oleh karena itu, peneliti membuat rancangan dan menyusun alat permainan edukatif sesuai dengan kebutuhan. Peneliti membuat rancangan dan menyusun sebuah alat permainan edukatif yakni sebuah Alat Permainan Edukatif Animal Scrabble untuk Memfasilitasi Kemampuan Membaca Permulaan Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yakni pengembangan dengan desain EDR (Educational Design Research) karya dari McKenney dan Reeves. Adapun prosedur penelitian EDR ini terdapat 4 tahapan yakni tahap Analisis dan Eksplorasi (Analisys and Exploration), tahap Desain dan Kontruksi (Design and Contruction), tahap Evaluasi dan Refleksi (Evaluation and Reflection), dan tahap Kelayakan. Selain itu, teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yakni wawancara, observasi, expert judgment, angket, FGD, dan studi dokumentasi. Alat permaian edukatif animal scrabble ini di uji cobakan di 2 tempat dalam waktu yang berbeda yakni di TK Artanita Al-Khoeriyah dan RA Nurul Hikmah. Secara umum, pengembangan Alat Permainan Edukatif Animal Scrabble untuk Memfasilitasi Kemampuan Membaca Permulaan Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun telah berhasil dikembangkan dan layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran di PAUD untuk anak usia 5-6 tahun. This research is motivated by the problem regarding the lack of diversity of educational game tools to facilitate early reading skills of children aged 5-6 years. This research aims to develop educational game tools to facilitate children's early reading skills according to the needs in the field. This research is based on preliminary studies conducted by researchers regarding the lack of diversity and the availability of educational games to facilitate early reading skills in children aged 5-6 years. Therefore, researchers design and arrange educational game tools according to needs. Researchers designed and developed an educational game tool, namely an Animal Scrabble Educational Game Tool to Facilitate Beginning Reading Skills for Children Aged 5-6 Years. The method used in this research is the development of the EDR (Educational Design Research) design by McKenney and Reeves. The EDR research procedure consists of 4 stages, namely the Analysis and Exploration stage, the Design and Construction stage, the Evaluation and Reflection stage, and the Feasibility stage. In addition, the data collection techniques in this study were interviews, observation, expert judgment, questionnaires, FGDs, and documentation studies. This animal scrabble educational game tool was tested in 2 places at different times, namely at Artanita Al-Khoeriyah Kindergarten and RA Nurul Hikmah. In general, the development of the Animal Scrabble Educational Game Tool to Facilitate Beginning Reading Skills for Children Aged 5-6 Years has been successfully developed and is suitable for use in early childhood learning for children aged 5-6 years.
