    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi kurangnya perhatian terhadap kondisi fisik sekolah, khususnya ruangan kelas yang memiliki perpaduan elemen interior berupa dinding, plafon, dan lantai yang kusam dan tua hingga mengakibatkan peserta didik merasakan ketidaknyamanan selama proses pembelajaran seperti kehilangan fokus, kehilangan konsentrasi serta kehilangan minat dan motivasi belajar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi peserta didik kelas XI DPIB 2 SMK Negeri 1 Balongan, Indramayu tentang hubungan kondisi fisik ruang kelas dengan kenyamanan proses pembelajaran.
    Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional yang menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh atau sampling total. Sampel yang digunakan adalah seluruh populasi sebanyak 34 peserta didik kelas XI DPIB 2 SMK Negeri 1 Balongan, Indramayu. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara kondisi fisik ruang kelas dengan kenyamanan proses pembelajaran peserta didik kelas XI DPIB 2 SMK Negeri 1 Balongan, Indramayu sebesar 32,4% namun 67,6% memiliki faktor lain berupa metode pembelajaran. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kondisi fisik ruang kelas berperan penting dalam menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang nyaman bagi peserta didik. Kondisi fisik ruang kelas yang buruk akan menimbulkan kegelisahan, namun hal tersebut bisa ditanggulangi dengan melakukan peningkatan guru sebagai fasilitator melalui komunikasi dengan peserta didik agar mendapatkan program perbaikan atau renovasi ruang kelas.

    This research was motivated by a lack of attention to the physical condition of schools, especially classrooms that have a combination of interior elements in the form of dull and old walls, ceilings, and floors that cause students to feel discomfort during the learning process such as loss of focus, loss of concentration and loss of interest and motivation to learn. The purpose of this study is to determine the perception of class XI DPIB 2 students of SMK Negeri 1 Balongan, Indramayu about the relationship between the physical condition of the classroom and the comfort of the learning process.
    The research method used is quantitative descriptive with a correlational approach that uses saturated sampling techniques or total sampling. The sample used was the entire population of 34 students of class XI DPIB 2 SMK Negeri 1 Balongan, Indramayu. The results of this study showed that there was a positive and significant influence between the physical condition of the classroom and the comfort of the learning process of grade XI DPIB 2 students of SMK Negeri 1 Balongan, Indramayu by 32.4% but 67.6% had other factors in the form of learning methods. This shows that the physical condition of the classroom plays an important role in creating a comfortable learning environment for students. The poor physical condition of the classroom will cause anxiety, but this can be overcome by improving teachers as facilitators through communication with students in order to get a classroom repair or renovation program.
