Abstract

Dalam suatu resort ataupun hotel terdapat suatu sistem informasi manajemen yang mengatur arus informasi untuk menunjang pengoperasionalan sebuah resort agar mampu memenuhi kebutuhan wisatawan dan penyelenggaraan pariwisata. Resort atau hotel saat ini, harus mampu menyusun strategi untuk mengefektifkan dan mengefisiensikan pengoperasionalan sebuah resort yaitu dengan menerapkan sebuah sistem informasi manajemen yang baik terutama pada departemen inventory yang merupakan salah satu departemen penting dalam sebuah resort. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan yaitu cara studi dokumentasi, wawancara, dan observasi lapangan. Teknik pengolahan data yang digunakan adalah analisis kualitatif, dan analisis interaktif. Berdasarkan analisis interaktif, diketahui bahwa Kura Kura Resort Karimunjawa tidak memiliki sebuah sistem informasi manajemen yang baik pada departemen inventory, sehingga banyak permasalah yang muncul sebagai akibat dari penggunaan sebuah sistem informasi manajemen pada departemen inventory yang dilakukan secara manual. Seiring dengan bertambahnya permasalahan yang ada, pihak manajemen Kura-Kura Resort berinisiatif untuk mengganti sistem informasi manajemen inventory yang ada dengan sebuah sistem informasi manajemen baru. Sistem baru yang rencananya akan digunakan adalah sebuah sistem informasi manajemen berbasis komputer, dalam proses penerapannya, terdapat beberapa tahapan yang harus dilalui. Proses penerapan sistem baru di Kura-Kura Resort mulai berlangsung, meskipun dalam prakteknya banyak tahapan yang tidak sesuai dengan teori atau prosedur yang ada, namun hal tersebut tidak akan menjadi suatu masalah yang berarti dibandingkan dengan hasil yang akan dicapai. In a resort or hotel, there is a management information systems that regulates an information flow for support the operational resort to be able to meet the needs of tourist and tourism administration. Resort or hotel entrepreneurs today, must be able to compose a strategy for create an effective and efficient in operational resort, heres’s by applying a good management information systems especially in the inventory department, which is one of important department in a resort. This research uses descriptive method. Data collection techniques which are used are study the way of documentation, interviewing and field observations. Data processing techniques used are qualitative analysis, and interactive analysis. Based on interactive analysis is known that Kura Kura Resort didn’t have a good management information systems at the inventory department, so that make a lot of problems that appear as a result from using a management informatin system manually, with the increase of the existing problems, management of Kura-Kura resort has an enitiative to changing the existing management information system with a new system that based on computer or CBIS. In applying process, there is some step that must be pass before. Kura-Kura Resort starting a process of implementation a new system, although there is a lot of step that is not according to the existing theory or procedure, but that things will not be a serious problem if we compare it with the result that will be achieved.
