Abstract

Karakter adalah sifat atau perilaku yang dapat membedakan satu individu dengan individu yang lain. Karakter setiap manusia dipengaruhi oleh berbagai hal salah satunya berasal dari lingkungan sekitarnya. Dikarenakan karakter tersebut dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan sekitar, maka diperlukan Pendidikan Karakter. Namun pendidikan karakter ini tidak sepenuhnya membimbing siswa karena adanya pengaruh sekitar terutama pada nilai karakter disiplin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang 1) Desain pengembangan media poster berbasis reward and punishment dalam menumbuhkan nilai karakter disiplin siswa, 2) Hasil validasi ahli terkait media poster berbasis reward and punishment dalam menumbuhkan nilai karakter disiplin siswa, 3) Hasil pengembangan media poster berbasis reward and punishment dalam menumbuhkan nilai karakter disiplin siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu D&D (Design and Development) dan model PPE (Planning, Production, Evaluation) dengan melibatkan ahli materi, ahli media, ahli pembelajaran serta 6 orang siswa sebagai pengguna media. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa 1) Penelitian dimulai dengan wawancara dan analisis kebutuhan siswa, dilanjutkan membuat media dengan aplikasi, bahan, warna, dan gambar yang telah disesuaikan lalu dicetak, 2) Penilaian para ahli melibatkan ahli materi, ahli media, dan ahli pembelajaran mendapatkan rata-rata nilai dengan kategori "Sangat Baik", 3) Tanggapan siswa sebagai pengguna media mendapatkan rata-rata nilai dari 3 indikator dengan kategori "Sangat Baik". Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa media poster yang sudah dikembangkan sangat layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran dan sudah sangat baik sebagai media pembelajaran. Character is a trait or behavior that can distinguish one individual from another. The character of each human being is influenced by various things, one of which comes from the surrounding environment. Since the character is influenced by the surrounding environment, character education is needed. However, this character education does not fully guide students due to surrounding influences, especially on the value of discipline character. This research aims to obtain an overview of 1) The design of reward and punishment-based poster media development in fostering student discipline character values, 2) The results of expert validation related to reward and punishment-based poster media in fostering student discipline character values, 3) The results of the development of reward and punishment-based poster media in fostering student discipline character values. The method used in this research is D&D (Design and Development) and PPE (Planning, Production, Evaluation) model by involving material experts, media experts, learning experts and 6 students as media users. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it shows that 1) The research begins with interviews and analysis of student needs, followed by making media with applications, materials, colors, and images that have been adjusted and then printed, 2) The experts' assessment involves material experts, media experts, and learning experts getting an average score in the "Very Good" category, 3) Student responses as media users get an average score of 3 indicators in the "Very Good" category. Thus it can be concluded that the poster media that has been developed is very feasible to use as learning media and is very good as learning media.
