Abstract

ABSTRAK Power merupakan faktor penting pada beberapa cabang olahraga seperti bola voli yang mengharuskan atlet untuk mengerahkan tenaga secara eksplosif, dengan adanya power otot tungkai otot dapat melakukan gerakan secara explosive oleh kombinasi anatara kekuatan dan kecepatan. Untuk meningkatkan power otot tungkai diperlukan metode latihan seperti pliometrik dan weight training. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh latihan pliometrik dan weight training terhadap peningkatan power otot tungkai serta untuk mengetahui metode mana yang paling berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan power otot tungkai atlet bola voli. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi experimental design Pre-test Post-test Group design digunakan terdiri atas dua kelompok subjek dan kedua-duanya diukur atau diobservasi. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara metode latihan pliometrik dan weight training terhadap peningkatan power otot tungkai. metode latihan weight training lebih berpengaruh signifikan disbanding metode latihan pliometrik, hal tersebut dikarenakan latihan weight training menggunakan beban luar berupa alat gym ehingga kemampuan power otot tungkai akan meningkat lebih maksimal dibanding dengan treatment pliometrik. Kata Kunci : Pliometrik, Power Otot Tungkai, Weight Training. ABSTRACT Power is important factor in several sports such as volleyball which requires athletes to exert power explosively, with the power of the lag muscles can make movements explosively by a combination of strength and speed. To increase leg muscle power, training methots such as plyometrics and weight training are needed. The purpose of this study was to find out how the effect of plyometric training and weight training on increasing leg muscle power in volleyball athletes. The method used was a quasi experimental design the pretest posttest group design used consisted of two groups of subjects and both were measured or observed. The research findings show that there is a significant effect between plyometric training methods and weight training on increasing leg muscle power. The weight training method has a more significant effect than the plyometric training method, this is because weight training exercises use external loads in the form of gym equipment so that the ability of leg muscle power will increase more optimally compares to plyometric treatment.
