Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk melihat pengaruh penerapan praktikum berbasis inkuiri terbimbing terhadap habits of mind dan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi pencemaran air dan pencemaran udara di jenjang SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian pre eksperimen dengan menggunakan instrumen angket habit of mind siswa, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan praktikum, dan lembar soal pre test dan post test. Sampel yang diambil yaitu siswa kelas VII B yang berjumlah 24 siswi yang diambil dengan teknik convenience sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses keterlaksanaan habits of mind siswa pada aspek self regulation, critical thinking, dan creative thinking baik praktikum pencemaran air maupun pencemaran udara secara keseluruhan berada pada kategori baik. Selain itu, hasil uji paired t test habit of mind siswa ialah bahwa hasil nilai Sig. (2-tailed) 0,00 < 0,05 maka terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada semua aspek habit of mind data pre test dan post test siswa. Begitu juga dengan hasil penguasaan konsep siswa bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang nyata antara penguasaan konsep data pre test dan post test siswa pada materi pencemaran lingkungan. Hubungan antara habits of mind siswa dengan penguasaan konsep sebesar 0,474 yang mempunyai arti berkorelasi sedang dan mempunyai nilai pearson corellation positif artinya bahwa jika habits of mind siswa meningkat maka penguasaan konsep siswa pun meningkat. The purpose of this study was to see the effect of implementing guided inquiry-based practicum on students' habits of mind and mastery of concepts on water pollution and air pollution at the junior high school level. This study used a pre-experimental research method using a student habit of mind questionnaire, observation sheets on practicum implementation, and pre-test and post-test question sheets. The samples taken were class 7th B students totaling 24 students who were taken by convenience sampling technique. The results showed that the process of implementing students' habits of mind in the aspects of self-regulation, critical thinking, and creative thinking, both water pollution practicum and air pollution as a whole, were in the good category. In addition, the results of the paired t test of the students' habit of mind were that the results of the Sig. (2-tailed) 0.00 < 0.05, there is a significant difference in all aspects of the students' pre-test and post-test data habit of mind. Likewise with the results of students' mastery of the concept that there is a real difference between students' mastery of the pre-test and post-test data concepts on environmental pollution material. The relationship between students' habits of mind and concept mastery is 0.474 which means it is moderately correlated and has a positive Pearson correlation value meaning that if students' habits of mind increase, students' concept mastery also increases.
