Abstract
The role of the community in community empowerment programs is as a subject of development. For this reason, the community needs to be involved in planning, implementing, and supervising the development itself in order to create trust between the community and the village government. To create this trust, there needs to be an agency or companion to increase community trust in village government, one of which is the village patriot program. Patriot Desa is one of the flagship programs of West Java Province engaged in community empowerment. Patriot Desa aims to empower villages and their communities to become independent and have a significant impact on community trust. This research uses a case study method with a qualitative approach. The aim was to discuss in depth the impact of the Patriot Desa program in increasing community trust in village government. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The results of this study show that the village patriot program has a significant impact on community trust in village government by carrying out activities and programs based on community empowerment and involving the parties needed in the program to assist the community towards independence in managing potential and overcoming problems in Tarumajaya Village and ultimately providing efficient results in community development in the economic, socio-cultural and environmental fields.
