Abstract

Partisipasi perempuan dalam politik merupakan isu krusial dalam konteks pembangunan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Di Desa Sesaot, Kecamatan Narmada, Kabupaten Lombok Barat, Nusa Tenggara Barat, peran perempuan dalam politik telah menjadi fokus perhatian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam partisipasi perempuan dalam politik di Desa Sesaot serta dampaknya terhadap dinamika politik dan pembangunan di tingkat lokal. Penelitian ini menggunaka mefode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus untuk mengkaji secara mendalam partisipasi perempuan dalam politik di Desa Sesaot. Adapun pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi kepada 14 informan yang terdiri dari 6 orang Kepala Dusun, 5 orang Staf Pemerintahan Desa, 2 orang perempuan karir sekaligus sebagai BPD (Badan Permusyawaratan Desa), dan 1 orang pemuda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa: (1) Pandangan masyarakat Desa Sesaot terhadap partisipasi dalam politik yaitu: setuju (mendukung), kurang setuju, dan netral (kurang memahami terkait politik); (2) Faktor pendorong perempuan mampu berpartisipasi dalam politik adalah perubahan persepsi masyarakat terhadap kepemimpinan seorang perempuan, modal sosial dari Kepala Desa, pengalaman dalam masyarakat, sosialisasi dan kedekatan yang lebih kepada masyarakat. Sedangkan faktor penghambatnya adalah adanya ketidaksukaan beberapa masyarakat secara pribadi terhadap kehadiran perempuan dalam politik, dan anggapan masyarakat bahwa perempuan itu kurang bisa bermusyawarah; (3) Peran perempuan dalam politik di Desa Sesaot adalah sebagai problem solver, fasilitator, pembinaan, motivator, dan kekeluargaan. Women's participation in politics is a crucial issue in the context of community development and empowerment. In Sesaot Village, Narmada District, West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, the role of women in politics has become a focus of attention. This study aims to examine in depth the participation of women in politics in Sesaot Village and its impact on political dynamics and development at the local level. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach to examine in depth the participation of women in politics in Sesaot Village. The data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation studies with 14 informants consisting of 6 hamlet heads, 5 village government staff, 2 career women as well as BPD (Village Consultative Body), and 1 youth. The results of this study show that: (1) The views of the Sesaot Village community towards participation in politics are: agree (support), disagree, and neutral (lack of understanding related to politics); (2) The factors that encourage women to participate in politics are changes in people's perceptions of women's leadership, social capital from the Village Head, experience in the community, socialization and closeness to the community. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are the dislike of some people personally towards the presence of women in politics, and the community's assumption that women are less able to deliberate; (3) The role of women in politics in Sesaot Village is as problem solvers, facilitators, coaching, motivators, and kinship.
