    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis secara komprehensif hasil temuan dalam sejumlah studi primer yang meneliti tentang pengaruh penerapan model discovery learning terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah systematic review dengan teknik meta-analisis untuk menganalisis pengaruh (ukuran efek) dari studi primer. Terdapat 33 studi primer yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi yang dianalisis dalam penelitian ini. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ukuran efek dari masing-masing studi penerapan model discovery learning terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa sangat bervariasi. Secara keseluruhan, penerapan model discovery learning berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Berdasarkan karakteristik studi, ditemukan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan pengaruh dari penerapan model discovery learning terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa ditinjau dari karakteristik jenjang pendidikan, materi ajar, ukuran sampel, dan demografi siswa. Dengan demikian, model discovery learning dapat dipilih sebagai salah satu alternatif pembelajaran matematika untuk mengembangkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.

    This study aims to comprehensively describe and analyze the findings of primary studies regarding the effect of discovery learning model on students' mathematical communication skills. The research method used is a systematic review with meta-analysis techniques to analyze the effect size of the primary study. A total of 33 primary studies that met the inclusion criteria were analyzed in this study. The research findings show that the effect size of each study of the application of the discovery learning model on students' mathematical communication skills varies. Overall, discovery learning implementation affected students' mathematical communication. Meanwhile, based on the characteristics of the observed study, it was found that there was no difference in the effect between groups when viewed from the education level, learning material, sample size, and student demographics. Thus, the discovery learning model can be used as alternative learning to enhance students' mathematical communication skills.
