Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menyelidiki efektivitas metode pembelajaran discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran basic aircraft technology and knowledge di SMK. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Weak Experiments dengan desain penelitian one group pretest posttest design dan diterapkan di SMK Negeri 1 Kertajati dengan responden satu kelompok sebanyak 21 orang dari peserta didik kelas X Teknik Pesawat Udara. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk meningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik yaitu soal pilihan ganda sebanyak 20 butir. Hasil dari analisis menggunakan persentase n-gain ternormalisasi menunjukkan bahwa metode pembelajaran discovery learning dapat dilihat lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan pembelajaran peserta didik dengan kategori sedang. The purpose of this study is to investigatethe effectiveness of discovery learning learning methods on student learning outcomes in basic aircraft technology and knowledge subjects in SMK.This research uses the method Weak Experiments with research design one group pre-test post-test design and implemented in SMK Negeri 1 Kertajati with one group of respondents as many as 21 people from class students X Aircraft Engineering. The instrument used to improve student learning outcomes is multiple choice questions of 20 items. The results of the analysis usingpercentages n-gain normalized shows that the discovery learning method can be seen as more effective in improving the learning of students in the moderate category.
