Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan karena rendahnya kemampuan literasi sains siswa sekolah dasar akibat penggunaan media pembelajaran yang kurang inovatif. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan perbaikan dalam proses pembelajaran. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan memanfaatkan media google site. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media google site terhadap kemampuan literasi sains siswa kelas V SD, untuk mengukur perbedaan pengaruh kemampuan literasi sains siswa antara yang menggunkan media google site dengan yang menggunakan media konvensional, dan untuk mengetahui respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media google site. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu quasi experiment dengan desain penelitian menggunakan nonequivalent control group. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas V SDN Percobaan dengan sampel kelas VB dan VD. Penelitian ini mendapatkan hasil yaitu terdapat pengaruh pada kemampuan literasi sains siswa setelah memperoleh pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media google site. Nilai rata-rata pre-test kelas eksperimen sebesar 50,30 dan nilai rata-rata post-test kelas eksperimen sebear 68,52. Hal ini mengindikasikan adanya peningkatan sebesar 18,22 dalam rata-rata nilai siswa di kelas eksperimen. Hasil analisis data juga menunjukkan adanya perbedaan pengaruh kemampuan literasi sains siswa antara yang menggunakan media google site dengan yang menggunakan media konvensional. Adapun hasil respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media google site berada dalam kategori sangat baik yaitu sebesar 85%. This research wass conducted due to the low level of scientific literacy skills among elementari school students resulting from the use off less innovative instructional media. Therefore, an improvement in the learning process is necessary. One of the approaches that can be employed is utilizng Google Site as a learning media. The aim of this research is to investigate the impact of using Google Site as a media on the scientific literacy skills of 5th grade elementary school students. It aims to measure the difference in the influence of scientific literacy between those using Google Site as a media and those using conventional media, as well as to determine students responses to learning through Google Site. The method used in this study is a quasi experiment with a research design involving a nonequivalent control group. The population for this research comprises all 5th grade students of SDN Percobaan, with samples taken from classes VB and VD. The findings of this research indicate a significant influence on students scientific literacy skills after receiving instruction through Google Site. The average pre-test score was 68,52, indicateing an improvement of 18,22 in the average student scores in the experimental class. The data analysis results also demonstrate a difference in the impact on scientific literacy skilss between students using Google Site and those using conventional media. The results of the students responses to learning through Google Site fall under the very good category, amounting to 85%.
