    Abstract

    Berdasarkan hasil studi pendahuluan melalui wawancara dan observasi dengan guru
    Dasar Program Keahlian (DPK) diketahui bahwa hasil belajar siswa cendrung
    masih rendah belum memenuhi KKM sebesar 76. berdasarkan hasil studi siswa
    lebih memilih bertanya kepada temannya jika terdapat materi yang kurang
    dimengerti yang disampaikan langsung oleh guru. Selain itu, siswa kurang diberi
    kesempatan untuk mengungkapkan pemikiran dan mencerna diskusi tentang topik
    yang disajikan, maka dengan begitu pembelajaran siswa menjadi memburuk.
    Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan
    menerapkan pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBL). Desain penelitian
    yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diklasifikasikan sebagai Pre-Eksperimen.
    Partisipan yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X TPM 2. Metode
    pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari pemberian Pretest dan Post-test. Metodologi yang digunakan untuk analisis data adalah deskriptif
    kuantitatif. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-eksperimental,
    khususnya menggunakan desain pretest-posttest satu kelompok. Temuan
    menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata pretest adalah 45,77, sedangkan skor rata-rata
    posttest setelah penerapan pendekatan instruksional Problem Based Learning
    (PBL) adalah 81,69. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis, terdapat pengaruh yang
    signifikan yang terlihat pada penerapan pembelajaran Problem Based Learning
    (PBL) pada materi pemesinan frais.
    Based on the results of preliminary studies through interviews and observations
    with Basic Expertise Program (DPK) teachers, it is known that student learning
    outcomes tend to be low and have not met the KKM of 76. based on the results of
    the study students prefer to ask their friends if there is material that is not understood
    which is delivered directly by the teacher. In addition, students are less given the
    opportunity to express their thoughts and digest discussions on the topics presented,
    so student learning deteriorates. The purpose of this study was to improve student
    learning outcomes by applying a problem-based learning (PBL) approach. The
    research design used in this study is classified as Pre-Experiment. The participants
    involved in this study were students of class X TPM 2. The data collection method
    used in this study consisted of giving Pre-test and Post-test. The methodology used
    for data analysis is descriptive quantitative. The research methodology used was
    pre-experimental, specifically using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The
    findings showed that the mean score of the pretest was 45.77, while the mean score
    of the posttest after the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL)
    instructional approach was 81.69. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, there
    is a significant effect seen in the application of Problem Based Learning (PBL)
    learning in milling machining material.
