Abstract

Perkembangan zaman yang pesat, menjadikan pasar kerja menjadi sangat kompetitif. Persaingan tenaga kerja sangat mungkin terjadi karena setiap perusahaan pasti membutuhkan orang yang benar-benar siap untuk bekerja. Oleh karena itu, setiap calon pekerja diharapkan memiliki kemampuan yang mumpuni agar mampu bersaing dalam era industri saat ini. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh praktik kerja industri terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa khususnya pada siswa SMK yang dibimbing agar dapat memiliki skill yang sesuai dengan bidangnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 31 siswa kelas XI kompetensi keahlian Otomatisasi dan Tata Kelola Perkantoran di SMK Pasundan 1 Cimahi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode survey eksplanasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu (i) pengujian instrumen penelitian; (ii) pengujian pernyataan analisis; (iii) analisis data; dan (iv) pengujian hipotesis. Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,00 < 0,05. Berdasarkan dasar pengambilan keputusan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima yang artinya terdapat pengaruh praktik kerja industri terhadap kesiapan kerja. Adapun besarnya nilai koefisien korelasi atau hubungan (R) sebesar 0,868. Dari output tersebut diperoleh pula nilai koefisien determinasi (R Square) sebesar 0,754 yang mengandung pengertian bahwa pengaruh variabel bebas (praktik kerja industri) terhadap variabel terikat (kesiapan kerja) adalah sebesar 75,4%. The rapid development of the times, makes the job market very competitive. Labor competition is very likely to occur because every company definitely needs people who are really ready to work. Therefore, every prospective worker is expected to have qualified skills to be able to compete in the current industrial era. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of industrial work practices on student work readiness, especially vocational students who are mentored so that they can have skills that are appropriate to their fields. This research was conducted on 31 class XI students of the competence in Office Automation and Governance at SMK Pasundan 1 Cimahi. This research is a quantitative research with explanatory survey method. This research was conducted through several stages, namely (i) testing the research instrument; (ii) analysis statement test; (iii) data analysis; and (iv) hypothesis testing. The research results obtained a significance value of 0.00 <0.05. Based on the basis of decision making, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means that there is an influence of industrial work practices on work readiness. The value of the correlation coefficient or relationship (R) is 0.868. From this output, it is also obtained that the coefficient of determination (R Square) is 0.754 which implies that the influence of the independent variable (industrial work practices) on the dependent variable (work readiness) is 75.4%.
