Abstract
Berdasarkan data dari BPS lulusan dari Sekolah menengah kejuruan menyumbang sebagian besar pengangguran di Indonesia yaitu 8,49% masih lebih tinggi dibandingkan tingkat pendidikan lainnya, seperti pendidikan SD ke bawah sekitar 2,64%, SMP sekitar 5,02%, Sarjana sekitar 5,73%, SMA sekitar 6,77%, serta DI/DII/DIII sekitar 6,76%. Hal tersebut disebabkan oleh kurangnya kompetensi lulusan SMK yang disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, salah satunya kurangnya kemampuan berpikir kritis. Maka dari itu dibutuhkan kegiatan dalam bidang keteknikan yang mampu melatih kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, salah satunya adalah kegiatan diklat STEM robotika yang menggunakan media pembelajaran 4DFrame. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan desain media pembelajaran 4DFrame dan melatih kemampuan bepikir kritis siswa melalui kegiatan diklat robotika. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap 107 siswa sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri 2 Cimahi. Penelitian ini menggunakan model kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelatif. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan diperoleh: (1) Sebanyak 77,731% siswa sangat tertarik dengan kegiatan diklat STEM atau sebanyak 81 siswa sementara sisanya sekitar 22,639% atau 24 siswa tertarik dengan kegiatan diklat STEM yang telah dilaksanakan. (2) Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di SMKN 2 Cimahi berada pada tingkatan sangat tinggi sebanyak 1,87%, atau sekitar 2 orang. Kemudian, kategori tinggi memiliki persentase 32,71%, dengan jumlah frekuensi 35 siswa. Selanjutnya, kategori sedang memiliki persentase 38,31%, dengan frekuensi sebanyak 41 siswa. Pada tingkat rendah, didapat 19 siswa pada persentase 17,76%, dan pada kategori sangat rendah didapat 10 siswa atau sekitar 9,34% (3) Ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI SMKN 2 Cimahi pada Program Studi Mekatronika. Penelitian ini diharapkan bisa menjadi referensi dan pertimbangan bagi tenaga pendidik dan peneliti lain untuk penelitian dengan kajian yang sama. Based on data from BPS, graduates from vocational high schools accounted for the majority of unemployment in Indonesia, namely 8.49%, which is still higher than other levels of education, such as elementary and lower education, around 2.64%, junior high schools around 5.02%, bachelor degrees around 5,73%, SMA around 6.77%, and DI/DII/DIII around 6.76%. This is due to the lack of competence of SMK graduates which is caused by several factors, one of which is the lack of critical thinking skills. Therefore it requires activities in the field of engineering that are able to train students' critical thinking skills, one of which is the STEM robotica training activity using 4DFrame learning media. This study aims to apply the 4DFrame learning media design and train students' critical thinking skills through robotics training activities. The research was conducted on 107 students of Cimahi State Vocational High School 2. This study uses a quantitative model with a correlative approach. Based on the research that has been done, it is obtained: (1) 77.731% of students are very interested in STEM training activities or as many as 81 students while the remaining 22.639% or 24 students are interested in STEM training activities that have been implemented. (2) Students' critical thinking skills at SMKN 2 Cimahi are at a moderate to very high level of 72.9%, while students at a low to very low critical thinking ability level are 27.11%. (3) There is a significant relationship between critical thinking skills and learning outcomes of class XI students at SMKN 2 Cimahi in the Mechatronics Study Program. This research is expected to be a reference and consideration for educators and other researchers for research with the same study.
