Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan hasil pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) berbantuan GeoGebra dan dengan pendekatan pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) saja. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian desain kontrol pretest-posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas VIII di salah satu SMP Negeri Kota Bandung tahun ajaran 2022/2023, sampel yang digunakan sebanyak dua kelas, dengan kelas eksperimen sebanyak 30 siswa dan kelas kontrol sebanyak 30 siswa. Instrumen yang digunkan adalah instrumen tes dan non tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan: 1) Peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) berbantuan GeoGebra lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) ditinjau secara keseluruhan dan perkemampuan awal matematis siswa (tinggi, sedang, rendah). 2) Terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis antara siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) berbantuan GeoGebra berdasarkan Kemampuan Awal Matematis (KAM) siswa tinggi, sedang dan rendah. 3) Terdapat pengaruh GeoGebra terhadap peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. This study aims to compare learning outcomes using the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning approach assisted by GeoGebra and with the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning approach only. The research method used was a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control design. The population in this study were all class VIII at one of Bandung City Public Middle Schools for the 2022/2023 school year, the samples used were two classes, with an experimental class of 30 students and a control class of 30 students. The instruments used are test and non-test instruments. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded: 1) The improvement of students' mathematical communication skills who received learning using the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach assisted by GeoGebra is higher than the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach in terms of overall and students' initial mathematical abilities (high, medium, low). 2) There are differences in the improvement of mathematical communication skills between students who receive learning using the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach assisted by GeoGebra based on high, medium and low students' Early Mathematical Ability (KAM). 3) There is an influence of GeoGebra on improving students' mathematical communication skills.
