Abstract
Kemampuan mendeskripsikan informasi suatu objek atau peristiwa ke dalam bentuk tulisan harus dikuasai oleh semua anak di sekolah. Anak tunarungu mengalami hambatan dalam menulis karangan deskripsi, oleh karena itu menulis karangan deskripsi perlu ditingkatkan menggunakan metode yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan kemampuan anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh pengaruh penggunaan metode role playing terhadap peningkatan kemampuan menulis karangan deskripsi pada anak tunarungu kelas VI di SLB Negeri Cicendo. Dengan menerapkan metode role playing, dapat memberikan pembelajaran berdasarkan pengalaman dengan cara bermain peran. Hal ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis karangan deskripsi pada anak tunarungu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan one-group-pretest-posttest-design. subjek penelitian yang diambil yaitu anak tunarungu kelas VI berjumlah 7 orang anak. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen tes. Hasil analisis data yang diperoleh melalui rangkaian penelitian dan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon dengan bantuan SPSS versi 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya pengaruh metode role playing terhadap peningkatan kemampuan menulis karangan deskripsi pada aspek menulis judul sebesar 83%, pada aspek menulis deskripsi umum meningkat sebesar 54%, aspek deskripsi bagian meningkat sebesar 54% dan pada aspek penutup meningkat sebesar 40%. Didukung oleh hasil hipotesis uji wilcoxom memperoleh nilai Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,017 kurang dari taraf signifikansi (a) 0,05 atau (0,017< 0,05) maka dapat disimpulkan metode role playing dapat berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kemampuan menulis karangan deskripsi pada anak tunarungu kelas VI di SLB Negeri Cicendo. Deaf children experience obstacles in writing descriptive essays, therefore writing descriptive essays needs to be improved using methods that suit the needs and abilities of children. This study aims to obtain the effect of using the role playing method on improving the ability to write descriptive essays in class VI deaf children at Cicendo State SLB. By applying the role playing method, it can provide experiential learning by means of role playing. This is expected to improve the ability to write descriptive essays on deaf children. The method used in this research is an experiment with one-group-pretest-posttest- design. The research subjects taken were deaf children in class VI totaling 7 children. Data collection was carried out using a test instrument. The results of the analysis of the data obtained through a series of studies and hypothesis testing using the Wilcoxon test with the help of SPSS version 26. The results showed that there was an effect of the role playing method on increasing the ability to write descriptive essays on the aspect of writing titles by 83%, on the aspect of writing general descriptions increased by 54 %, the section description aspect increased by 54% and the closing aspect increased by 40%. Supported by the results of the Wilcoxom hypothesis test, the Asymp value was obtained. Sig (2-tailed) of 0.017 is less than the significance level (a) 0.05 or (0.017 <0.05) so it can be concluded that the role playing method can affect the improvement of the ability to write descriptive essays in class VI deaf children at Cicendo State SLB.
