Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas siswa dan pemahaman konsep pada siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini di latar belakangi berdasarkan rendahnya minat belajar siswa dalam proses pembelajaran dan kurangnya pemahaman konsep siswa terhadap materi ajar terutama pada muatan pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS). Hal tersebut dilihat dari hasil observasi yang dilakukan pada siswa kelas IV SDN 3 Karangpakel, Kec. Trucuk, Kab. Klaten. Model Pembelajaran Cooperative Learning tipe Teams Games Turnament adalah salah satu tipe pembelajaran yang sederhana dan memusatkan kepada motivasi siswa dan kemampuan siswa dalam melakukan kegiatan pembelajaran metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan Model Spiral Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan lembar observasi, soal tes, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian dilakukan sebanyak 2 siklus dan pada setiap siklusnya mengalami peningkatan pada aktivitas belajar dan hasil tes pemahaman konsep. Pada siklus I hasil tes pemahaman konsep siswa memperoleh nilai rata-rata 73 dengan persentase ketuntasan 46,66%, dan rata-rata aktivitas siswa 2,3 dengan persentase 57% termasuk kategori tinggi. Pada siklus II hasil tes pemahaman konsep siswa memperoleh nilai rata-rata 85,7 dengan persentase 93,33%, dan rata-rata aktivitas siswa 3,31 dengan persentase 82,7 termasuk kategori sangat tinggi. Dengan adanya peningkatan pada kegiatan aktivitas siswa dan tes pemahaman konsep siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Cooperative Learning tipe Teams Games Turnament berbantuan media permainan tradisional engklek, maka penelitian ini dapat dikatakan berhasil ----- This study aims to improve student activity and understanding of concepts in grade IV elementary school students. This research is based on the low interest in student learning in the learning process and the lack of understanding of student concepts on teaching materials, especially in the content of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning. This can be seen from the results of observations made on grade IV students of SDN 3 Karangpakel, Trucuk District, Klaten Regency. The Cooperative Learning Learning Model type Teams Games Tournament is one type of learning that is simple and focuses on student motivation and students' ability to carry out learning activities, the method in this study uses Classroom Action Research with the Kemmis and Mc Taggart Spiral Models. The research instrument uses observation sheets, test questions, and documentation. The study was conducted as many as 2 cycles and in each cycle, there was an increase in learning activities and test results of understanding concepts. In the first cycle,the results of the concept comprehension test obtained an average score of 73 with a completion ercentage of 46.66%, and an average student activity of 2.3 with a percentage of 57% including the high category. In the second cycle, the results of the concept comprehension test obtained an average score of 85.7 with a percentage of 93.33%, and the average student activity of 3.31 with a percentage of 82.7 including the very high category. With the increase in student activity activities and student concept understanding tests by applying the Cooperative Learning learning model type Teams Games Tournament assisted by traditional game media engklek, the second research can be said to be successful
