Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mengkaji: (1) Latar belakang terjadinya Calon Tunggal Bupati dan Wakil Bupati dalam Pemilihan Umum Kepala Daerah Kabupaten Soppeng Tahun 2020; (2) Tantangan demokrasi Pancasila pada fenomena calon tunggal Pemilihan Umum Kepala Daerah Kabupaten Soppeng 2020; (3) Keberterimaan Calon Tunggal Bupati dan Wakil Bupati oleh Partai Politik dan Masyarakat Pemilih dalam Pemilihan Umum Kepala Daerah Kabupaten Soppeng Tahun 2020. Penelitian menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Berdasarkan sumbernya, jenis data yang digunakan yaitu data primer dan data sekunder. Pengolahan dan penyajian data dilakukan secara deskriptif. Adapun temuan dari penelitian ini, menunjukan bahwa; (1) Terjadinya calon tunggal Bupati dan Wakil Bupati dalam pemilihan umum kepala daerah Kabupaten Soppeng Tahun 2020 dan tidak ada kandidat lain yang muncul melawan pasangan Andi Kaswadi Razak dan Lutfi Halide baik dari jalur partai politik maupun jalur perseorangan; (2) Tantangan demokrasi Pancasila pada fenomena calon tunggal Pemilihan Umum Kepala Daerah Kabupaten Soppeng hanya berpengaruh pada proses pemilihan pasangan Andi Kaswadi Razak dan Lutfi Halide; (3) Keberterimaan calon tunggal Bupati dan Wakil Bupati oleh partai politik dan masyarakat pemilih dalam pemilihan umum kepala daerah Kabupaten Soppeng tahun 2020 dilihat dari sebagian besar masyarakat Kabupaten Soppeng menghendaki terpilihnya kembali pasangan Andi Kaswadi Razak dan Lutfi Halide untuk memimpin Kabupaten Soppeng yang kedua kalinya. This research aims to find out and examine: (1) The background of the Single Candidate for Regent and Deputy Regent in the 2020 Soppeng Regency Regional Head General Election; (2) Challenges to Pancasila democracy in the phenomenon of a single candidate for the 2020 Soppeng Regency Regional Head General Election; (3) Acceptance of the Single Candidate for Regent and Deputy Regent by Political Parties and the Electoral Community in the 2020 Soppeng Regency Regional Head General Election. The research used a type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Based on the source, the types of data used are primary data and secondary data. Data processing and presentation are done descriptively. The findings of this study indicate that; (1) The occurrence of a single candidate for Regent and Deputy Regent in the 2020 Soppeng Regency regional head general election and no other candidates emerged against the Andi Kaswadi Razak and Lutfi Halide pair both from political parties and individual channels; (2) The challenge of Pancasila democracy in the phenomenon of a single candidate for the Soppeng Regency Regional Head General Election only affects the election process for the Andi Kaswadi Razak and Lutfi Halide pair; (3) The acceptance of a single candidate for Regent and Deputy Regent by political parties and the voting public in the 2020 Soppeng Regency regional head general election can be seen from most of the people of Soppeng Regency wanting the re-election of Andi Kaswadi Razak and Lutfi Halide to lead Soppeng Regency for the second time.
