Abstract

Elemen antenna array memiliki informasi berupa arah sinyal datang. Direction of arrival digunakan pada sistem radar mengenai arah sudut datang sumber isyarat terhadap receiver. Estimasi dilakukan untuk membandingkan performasi algoritma MUSIC-USV (Multiple Signal Classification – Universal Steering Vector) dan ESPRIT (Estimation of Signal Parameters via Rotational Invariance Techniques) pada sinyal datang uniform linear array antenna. Pada penelitian ini, dilakukan estimasi pengaruh terhadap sudut kedatangan (θ), banyaknya sampel (L), dan SNR input. Pada penelitian ini, algoritma MUSIC dan ESPRIT disimulasikan melalui software Matlab R2020a. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis untuk menentukan kinerja sebenarnya dari algoritma dengan perhitungan error estimasi. Algoritma MUSIC-USV bekerja lebih tidak rentan terhadap error estimasi dibandingkan dengan ESPRIT dalam berbagai simulasi. Pada parameter sudut kedatangan, MUSIC-USV bekerja dengan resolusi spectral yang lebih baik dalam memisahkan sinyal-sinyal yang berasal dari berbagai arah. Algoritma MUSIC-USV tidak mempertimbangkan efek mutual coupling antara elemen larik antena. ESPRIT bersifat lebih sensitif terhadap perubahan jumlah sampel sehingga menghasilkan estimasi yang kurang akurat jika jumlah sampel terbatas. MUSIC-USV bekerja memisahkan noise-subspace yang mampu menekan noise. Sedangkan ESPRIT, bekerja kurang baik jika dalam kondisi SNR yang rendah. ----- The antenna array elements have information regarding the direction of the incident signal. Direction of arrival is used in radar systems regarding the signal source's angle of incidence towards the receiver. Estimation is done to compare the performance of MUSIC-USV (Multiple Signal Classification - Universal Steering Vector) and ESPRIT (Estimation of Signal Parameters via Rotational Invariance Techniques) algorithms on the incident signal of uniform linear array antenna. In this study, the effect of angle of arrival (θ), number of samples (L), and input SNR are estimated. In this research, the MUSIC and ESPRIT algorithms are simulated through Matlab R2020a software. The collected data is analyzed to determine the actual performance of the algorithms by calculation of the estimation error. The MUSIC-USV algorithm performs less prone to estimation error compared to ESPRIT in various simulations. On the angle of arrival parameter, MUSIC-USV performs with better spectral resolution in separating signals coming from different directions. The MUSIC-USV algorithm does not consider the effect of mutual coupling between antenna array elements. ESPRIT is more sensitive to changes in the number of samples resulting in less accurate estimates if the number of samples is limited. MUSIC-USV works on noise-subspace separation which is able to suppress noise. ESPRIT, on the other hand, works less well in low SNR conditions.
