Abstract
The low level of students' thinking is influenced by the monotonous learning method, and is one of the learning evaluation materials. In this study, it contains about students' Computational Thinking abilities. The aims of this study were: (1) To find out the increase in students' Computational Thinking abilities in solving questions after participating in the Audio Video System Planning and Installation lesson; (2) Find out what material the students have not mastered in the Audio Video Planning and Installation subject; (3) Knowing the students’ perceptions after participating in the Audio Video System Planning and Installation lesson. This study uses two instruments, HOTS Computational Thinking questions which are arranged according to Basic Competency based on syllabus and cognitive level. Next, conducting a survey with a questionnaire regarding students' perceptions after participating in the Audio Video System Planning and Installation lesson. This research was conducted with a quantitative descriptive approach. The conclusions from this study are: (1) There is an increase in students’ Computational Thinking abilities in understanding the concept of planning and installing an audio video system with moderate. (2) The material that students have not mastered in KD 3.1 about sound waves and room acoustic systems and KD 3.2 about psychoacoustic anatomy of the human ear. (3) Students’ perceptions after participating in learning, students feel motivated and able to follow learning well. However, they experienced difficulties when filling out questions In the form of concepts, mathematics, pictures, and tables.
